On July 3, 2019, the Guoke Suining Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Center officially launched its operations in Suining, Sichuan Province. Distinguished guests at the ceremony included Yang Bailing, former Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), member of the Standing Committee of the 10th National People’s Congress, and Honorary President of the China Technology Market Association; Luo Hui, Standing Committee Member and Vice Mayor of Suining, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Suining High-Tech Zone; and Jiang Lei, General Manager of CAS Innovation Incubation Investment Co., Ltd. and Chairman of Guoke Innovation Investment (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. Together, they witnessed the official launch of the center.
In his speech, Vice Mayor Luo Hui emphasized that scientific and technological innovation is a key driver for Suining to become a strong green economy hub along the Chengdu-Chongqing development axis. He expressed hope that the transformation center would actively respond to the technical needs of local enterprises, fully leverage its resource-gathering capabilities, and attract industrial technologies, innovation talents, and quality projects from both domestic and international sources to Suining. The goal is to turn the center into a new engine for transforming CAS innovations within the region.
Jiang Lei stated that the transformation center will serve as a service platform for transferring and transforming technological achievements—particularly those from CAS—into practical applications in Suining. It will also be a collaborative hub for gathering technological and human resources to support innovation and entrepreneurship. Guoke Innovation will work hand in hand with the Suining government to build a service platform that gathers wisdom and talent, introducing various levels of scientific and technological resources to form a think tank for boosting local technological development and industrial upgrading.
During the ceremony, Tang Qi, General Manager of Guoke Innovation Suining, and Zhang Zhigang, General Manager of Euro-Conti Tech Park (Hungary), signed a strategic partnership agreement under the witness of Yang Bailing, Luo Hui, Jiang Lei, Deputy General Manager Liang Lihe, and Deputy General Manager of Guoke Chengdu Wan Huadong.
At the same event, Zhang Zhigang was appointed as an expert advisor to the Guoke Suining Technology Transformation Center. Dr. Jarvas Gabor, an expert from Euro-Conti Tech Park, also attended the meeting.
